Telehealth Weight Loss Across Maryland

FRDC provides telehealth weight-management visits across Maryland — from the DC suburbs to the Eastern Shore — including Saturday and Sunday appointments, with in-clinic care available in Silver Spring.

What a telehealth visit includes

A telehealth visit covers the same clinical ground as an office visit: history, current medications, goals, barriers, side effects, and a plan. What differs is the physical exam component, which is limited by the format.

Home measurements matter more as a result. A reliable scale and a blood-pressure cuff make follow-up visits far more useful.

When in-person is needed

Some situations call for an office visit: certain injections, specific exams, or new symptoms that need hands-on evaluation. Silver Spring in-clinic appointments are available for those, and your clinician will tell you when one is warranted.

Licensing and geography

Telehealth is delivered by clinicians licensed in Maryland, to patients located in Maryland at the time of the visit. That is a legal requirement, not a preference.

Getting ready

Have your medication list, recent weight, any home blood-pressure readings, your pharmacy details, and your insurance card if you are using insurance. A quiet space with decent signal makes the visit better.

How results are discussed at FRDC

Your clinician sets your goals — many plans target 10–16 lbs/month with strict protein protocols; individual results vary.

Medication and dosing are always determined by your clinician after evaluation.
